From creative through copywriting, talent to production, Ken takes pride in having written, produced or acted as talent in over 10,000 broadcast commercials for the most recognized companies in the region: 35 dealership, (3 state chain,) of Spitzer AutoWorld 16 dealership, Day Automotive of Pittsburgh, PA 14 Alvin's Jewelers 100+ franchisers making up Mr. Hero Restaurants Ohio's largest supplier of Hewlett Packard digital imaging and networking system - ACE Imaging Solutions The Cleveland Clinic Stop-n-Shop Supermarkets Cleveland Browns Football Cleveland Indians Baseball Cleveland State University ...and dozens of other businesses throughout Northeast Ohio. On the advertising sales side: Mr. Dardis had the luxury of working for Metro Traffic Control - known today as Metro Networks, a WestWood One company. This time (starting in 1984) is considered a "luxury" because as General Manager of Metro's Cleveland office he was able to work directly with Metro Networks founder David Saperstein, taking an active part in helping build Metro from 10 markets to a 32 city network. Ken accompanied Mr. Saperstein to dozens of meetings, learning the art of building a successful company. Most importantly he was able to witness the resistance given to a new idea, and the technique used by Mr. Saperstein to overcome a radio industry's doubt about traffic reports in its programming. (This same resistance is shown the Internet by the advertising community.)
