How Was Christmas Listening, Online?

We're seeing industry trades tout radio listener numbers for Christmas Music stations.

While you can read about broadcast numbers anywhere, the one place to read about how Christmas Music played online is here. Audio Graphics' RadioRow - a radio portal online since 1999 - provides the data.

The weeks tracked appear as they did this year, with slight variations year-to-year on dates:

With 27 format selections offered at RadioRow, this is a look at the average percentage of total visitors who used its Christmas Music page from 2010 through 2014.

The 6.01% is a cumulative average from the four weeks leading up to Christmas - the 2010 through 2014 average.
The is a five year average.

Online data shows a spike occurring during Week 8, each year. The 4-weeks average from this year (#7-10) is 30.25%. That's nearly double last year's 17.94%, which was nearly triple 2012's 6%.

This year, Week 8 had 10.3% of total RadioRow visitors using the Christmas page.
