RRadio Network
The only continuous survey of radio's online audience...

From 2,005 online radio listeners,
between March 20 - April 22, 2004

Survey 23 asked two work related questions,
and followed up asking about the Internet radio
listener's problems with radio online.

When asked "When listening to online radio,
what do you consider to be the biggest problem?"

23.5% reported it was "find a good station."
20.4% said "connection/buffering time."
"Signal dropout" was listed by 15% of respondents.
While 16.9% said "Everything is fine."

We also inquired about what the online radio
audience does for a living:

17.3% work in the technology sector
14.1% are "professionals" (doctor, lawyer, scientist, teacher, etc.)

Management workers made up 8.7% of the total.
"Service industry" held 8.5%.
Medical workers comprised 6.7% of the audience.
Professional support personnel were 5.3% of the total. Retail, 5.2%.
Those in manufacturing were 4.5% of the online radio audience.
27.5% reported they worked in a profession "other" than what was listed.

For over two years RRadio Network has surveyed
its audience, producing the largest online radio
listener database in the world.

RRadio Network stations aggregate audience
for sale to advertisers. We define listeners by
running a continuous survey across the network.

Surveys are branded to the serving station.

One of the most important aspects of identifying
the online radio audience is in our ability to ask
specific questions about how much influence they
carry in the office.

In response to "For your company's purchase of
office imaging equipment, how much influence
do you carry?
", we uncovered this fact:
26.8% actively take part in deciding what type of
copier, printer, or scanner their company will
purchase. Another 17.7% are asked their opinion
before a purchase of this type is made.

From 2,005 responses.
